Gilbert
The Village of Gilbert was founded around the mid to late 1800's. It is the hometown of U.S. Lieutenant General, Claire Lee Chennault (September 6, 1893 – July 27, 1958). Chennault was an American military aviator best known for his leadership of the "Flying Tigers." Today, this is how the The Flying Tigers mascot was established for the local school in Gilbert, Louisiana.
